Our YNP favorites
Old Faithful
A photograph of this most famous geyser is found in the living room to the right of the fireplace. With its regularly occurring eruptions and massive outflow, Old faithful is among the most popular of YNP attractions.
Mammoth Hot Springs
Mammoth is situated on a massive hill of travertine full of natural hot springs easily viewable through a series of wooden pathways. Located at the north entrance of YNP, it is often full of bison and elk and is a great place to explore with the whole family.
The Lamar Valley
Known as the Serengeti of Montana, the Lamar Valley is famous for its abundance of wolves, grizzly bears, bison and elk. A must see for wildlife enthusiasts and photographers.
Back Country Adventures
Get out there hiking and explore the less visited back country of YNP. Plan a day trip or multi-day adventure on your own or hire a local outfitter. Back country experience necessary.
Gardiner, MT
Gardiner is a small mountain town located at the original north entrance of YNP. Visit its many gift shops, outdoor stores, and unique restaurants and bars on your way to and from the park.
Guided Tours
Want to see the park without the hassle of planning a trip? Guided tours are often the best way to go.
